Health.AI – Aims

Projekt aims

At HEALTH.AI Pomerania, we are working across borders to facilitate the introduction of artificial intelligence into clinical diagnostics and treatment in the Pomerania Euroregion. Our consortium comprises German and Polish hospitals (West Pomeranian Oncology Centre Szczecin, GLG Werner Forßmann Clinic Eberswalde, University Medical Centre Greifswald) with scientific support from the University of Greifswald, which acts as the lead partner.

We are testing various AI technologies and jointly evaluating experiences with the use of artificial intelligence in everyday clinical practice in order to develop practical recommendations for the use of AI at other institutions.

With our project results, we aim to enable numerous other hospitals and clinics, as well as the relevant authorities in the Euroregion Pomerania, to introduce and make optimal use of AI tools.

The following are being developed at Health.AI Pomerania:

A practical guide to the introduction and use of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, including an analysis of the legal framework and the cost-effectiveness of introducing AI in medicine within the Pomerania Euroregion

A knowledge platform featuring analogue, hybrid and digital formats for exchange between medical professionals, legal and business experts, AI specialists, scientists, IT professionals, public authorities and policy-makers (AI HORIZONS Conference, online expert forum, AIforLife network)

A bilingual training module for the professional development of medical staff in the use of AI solutions

We will make all the final results of the project available to the public on the digital knowledge platform (available from 2027 as a subpage of the project).
