The Health.AI Pomerania project aims to support the establishment of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Pomerania Euroregion. To achieve this, project partners will test AI solutions in practical applications and develop guidelines for using AI in medicine based on their experiences, which will assist other hospitals in the Pomerania Euroregion. The project partners will benefit from scientific guidance provided by the University of Greifswald, which will help them assess legal and health-economic frameworks.
Through this project, a practical guide, a competency module, and a knowledge platform on AI in medicine will be developed and discussed with stakeholders both within and outside the Euroregion.
This cross-border collaboration enables the use of expert knowledge from the Szczecin metropolitan region and the pooling of existing resources. The project results will be available to both the German and Polish parts of the Pomerania Euroregion, helping to ensure that the healthcare system can develop in sync across borders.
Project partners include the University of Greifswald (lead partner, spokesperson Prof. Werner Weitschies), the West Pomeranian Cancer Center in Szczecin, GLG Werner Forßmann Hospital Eberswalde GmbH, and the University Medical Center Greifswald.
The project is financially supported by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union as part of the Interreg VI A Mecklenburg-Vorpommern | Brandenburg | Polska 2021–2027 program.
