Startups drive innovation, especially when it comes to key digital technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). As such, it is crucial for Germany as a business location to be at the forefront of such changes. Germany is currently lagging far behind on the international stage when it comes to AI – and this despite our enormous potential, for example, in terms of research or with regard to the industrial sector.
With the study “Startups and Artificial Intelligence – Innovation Meets Responsibility” hubraum, Deutsche Telekom’s tech incubator, and the German Startups Association outline the areas of untapped potential and the USP of the German AI ecosystem. In addition to stressing the importance of data and resources, our study focuses on the topic of ethics and responsibility. We believe that Germany and Europe as a whole have the chance to become a key AI hotspot placed at the intersection of innovation and responsibility.
The study as well as the results will be presented and discussed by:
- Axel Menneking (Head of hubraum)
- Dr. Alexander Hirschfeld (Head of Research, Bundesverband Deutsche Startups)
- Vanessa Cann (Managing Director, KI Bundesverband)
- Maria Meier (CTO and Co-Founder Phantasma)
- Moderation: Prof. Dr. Jürgen Seitz (Institute for Applied AI, HdM Stuttgart)
The event will take place via live stream.
Due to the increasing number of infections, it´s a fully digital event.
